Food & Essential Supplies

Our weekly Wednesday food bank provides culturally appropriate food parcels, fresh produce and household essentials to low-income families. No referral required — simply come along.

Wellbeing & Emotional Support

Group and individual sessions addressing stress, anxiety, social isolation and mental wellbeing — delivered in a trusted, culturally sensitive environment.
Sessions are open to adults and young people. Our facilitators are trained and experienced in working with BAME communities.

Employment & Skills Support

Practical employability support including CV writing, interview preparation, budgeting and enterprise guidance — helping you build financial resilience and confidence.
Available to adults seeking work, career change or improved financial skills. Sessions run regularly throughout the year.
Explore skills support

Youth Support & Mentoring

Structured mentoring, leadership workshops and peer support for young people aged 11–25 — helping them build confidence, skills and a sense of purpose.
Open to young people from BAME backgrounds in Newport and the surrounding area. One-to-one and group mentoring available.

Who We Support

Eligibility

Our services are primarily designed for BAME individuals and families in Newport and South Wales. Support is available to you if any of the following apply:
  • You are based in Newport or the surrounding area of South Wales
  • You are from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) background
  • You are experiencing financial hardship, food insecurity or social isolation
  • You are a young person seeking mentoring, confidence-building or career guidance
  • You are an adult seeking employment, skills training or wellbeing support
  • You are a family needing practical assistance, signposting or essential supplies

For most of our services — including the food bank — no referral is needed. Simply get in touch or come along. For some specialist support, we may ask for a brief conversation first to understand your needs.
